What if you could stay young forever? That’s the temptation in The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION. BIGHIT describes boys on the edge of adulthood who want to stay in Neverland, the place where Peter Pan never grows up. The album’s last song is called Farewell, Neverland, which tells you how that ends.
A new chapter

The story: lingering in Neverland
According to BIGHIT:
- The album depicts youth on the brink of adulthood.
- After going through conflict and chaos, the boys want to put off growing up and stay in the freedom of Neverland.
- They keep moving forward anyway. BIGHIT says that journey represents today’s generation, growing up through the world’s challenges.
The “conflict and chaos” points back to The Chaos Chapter and the breakup in Thursday’s Child.

Sugar Rush Ride: the lead single
The Sugar Rush Ride video went up on HYBE LABELS on January 27, 2023, release day, around 2 p.m. KST. It was directed by KWON YONG SOO. Two official teasers came first, along with a concept trailer and an album preview. A choreography version from the same director followed on February 2.

The title fits the theme. A sugar rush is a short burst of energy that doesn’t last, a lot like the temptation to stay young.
The trailer: Peter Pan and the Devil
Weverse Magazine, HYBE’s own magazine, reviewed the concept trailer that opened The Name Chapter. Here’s what it saw: Weverse Magazine: The Devil has come for TXT
- The members are trapped in a house in the sky that’s shaking as if it’s about to collapse.
- A voice urges them to fly, using words from Peter Pan.
- Details like a red mouse and spilled red liquid echo the legend of Faust, where the devil tempts Faust with illusions.
- The trailer ends with HUENINGKAI walking out through a door, this time first. The magazine linked it to the MAGIC trailer three years earlier.
Our take: The trailer explains the title better than any summary. Temptation here is the promise that you can fly and never fall, which is exactly what FREEFALL answers next.
