RESCENE lip bomb: Five Berries, One Scent and the Third Mini Album

Every RESCENE release comes with a scent, and for the third mini album the scent is Berry. That’s not just one berry, though. THE MUZE Entertainment built it from five: strawberry, cranberry, blackberry, raspberry and blueberry, one for each song. The album title is a wordplay, too: lip bomb is lip balm with a bang.

From soap to berries

RESCENE’s name mixes scene and scent, and each release is built around a smell. (Our RESCENE beginner guide explains the idea.) The album before this one, the second mini album Glow Up, used the scent of clean soap to express a new “me” and “us.” THE MUZE: Glow Up

lip bomb swaps that clean, quiet scent for something sweeter and louder.

Balm, then bomb

THE MUZE explains the title: lip bomb takes “lip balm” and swaps “balm” for “bomb.” The idea is an album that seeps in softly like lip balm and wins listeners over, then bursts with sudden energy like an explosion. THE MUZE: lip bomb

The label’s tagline pictures a strong Berry scent spreading from lips wearing lip balm, with five berry scents popping and coloring the world.

According to THE MUZE, the five berries come together into one rich Berry scent. Together they tell the story of “me,” “us” and everyone: believing in yourself, blooming and stepping into the world, and the sincere moment when hearts meet.

Two title tracks, two release days

lip bomb came out in two steps, according to RESCENE’s official YouTube channel:

Date (KST) What came out
November 6, 2025, 6 p.m. Heart Drop, the pre-release, with its music video
November 25, 2025, 6 p.m. The full mini album lip bomb, with the Bloom music video

Before the album, the channel posted a highlight medley of the songs, and the day before Bloom came out, a second Bloom teaser.

The five songs

THE MUZE’s album page lists the five tracks in this order, with Heart Drop and Bloom marked as title tracks. Each one has its own berry. THE MUZE: track list

# Song Berry What THE MUZE says
1 Heart Drop (title) Cranberry About slowly falling into a sweet whisper and a faint scent. A beat with a sense of space and a soft melody complete RESCENE’s dreamy mood.
2 Bloom (title) Blackberry A message of self-belief and hope: blooming as the main character of every moment. A rising melody and expanding sound build to an explosive climax.
3 Love Echo Raspberry About becoming a community through song and connecting the world. Rich harmonies and a fresh sound create the feeling of hearts meeting.
4 Hello XO Strawberry An upbeat synth track over retro arcade sounds and a sparkling house beat, about loving yourself just as you are
5 MVP Blueberry A message to someone who has grown alongside you, full of thanks and affection

Our take: The two title tracks split the album’s story. Heart Drop is the soft “balm” half: a whisper and a faint scent. Bloom is the “bomb”: a song THE MUZE says builds to an explosive climax.

Heart Drop: the cranberry

Heart Drop came first, 19 days ahead of the album.

Hear it live

In December 2025, RESCENE posted lip bomb Album Live, a live performance of the whole album. It runs in this order: Heart Drop, Love Echo, Hello XO, MVP and Bloom, so it saves the second title track for last.

Our take: The live order is a good way to hear the album as a story. It starts with the soft whisper of Heart Drop and ends on Bloom’s climax.

Where lip bomb sits in the story

lip bomb sits in the middle of a busy stretch for RESCENE. Each release changes the scent:

Release When Scent or idea, per THE MUZE
Dearest (2nd single album) July 2025 The Deja Vu video came out on July 2
lip bomb (3rd mini album) November 2025 Berry, five berries in one
Runaway (1st digital single) April 2026 Incense: smoke spreading through a closed space, a story of moving in a direction you chose yourself
Pretty Girl (remake) July 2026 Grapefruit: a fresh take on KARA’s hit, with added distortion guitar and synths
PULSE (4th mini album) November 3, 2026 —

Our take: Going by THE MUZE’s own descriptions, Pretty Girl’s fresh grapefruit sits closest to lip bomb’s sweetness, and Runaway’s heavy, quiet incense is its opposite. Listen and see if you agree.
