On TEMPTATION, TXT wanted to stay in Neverland. On The Name Chapter: FREEFALL, they let go and fall. BIGHIT describes youth who had been putting off adulthood and finally decide to face reality, even though “reality bites.” The album era also brought in collaborators from outside K-pop: the singer Anitta on Back for More, and the director Christian Breslauer on the main video.
The story: freefalling into reality
FREEFALL is TXT’s third studio album, released on October 13, 2023. BIGHIT introduces the group as a “Global K-Pop leader.” Official album introduction
According to BIGHIT:
- It’s the story of youth who had been delaying adulthood and escaping from the world, but finally decided to face reality.
- The fall into reality is tormenting, and reality bites.
- Still, they make a firm decision to keep going and face everything around them.
BIGHIT hopes this coming-of-age story will bring comfort and empathy to anyone moving toward their dreams.

Our take: The song titles tell the story by themselves: growing pains, chasing a feeling, dreaming, digging deep, then Happily Ever After and Blue Spring. It reads like a coming-of-age film in titles.
Back for More: the Anitta collaboration
A month before the album, on September 15, 2023 (KST), HYBE LABELS released Back for More by TXT and Anitta. The video credits say it was directed and produced by MOTHER. The album itself carries the TXT Ver. of the song.
Chasing That Feeling: the main video
The Chasing That Feeling video went up on October 13, 2023, release day. Its credits list Christian Breslauer as director, with the production companies London Alley and The Lucky Bastards.

Between the digital English version of Chasing That Feeling and the Anitta collaboration, FREEFALL reached out to listeners beyond Korea in more than one way.
Do It Like That and Skipping Stones
Two more collaborations sit on FREEFALL, according to Weverse Magazine, HYBE’s own magazine:
- Do It Like That with the Jonas Brothers, released on July 7, 2023. The magazine noted that Ryan Tedder, who appeared in a studio teaser with TXT that June, was involved. Weverse Magazine: Do It Like That
- Skipping Stones, made with the indie artist HANRORO. After the members called it one of their favorite songs, it spread on social media without a major push. It reached No. 45 on the Melon HOT100 (as of October 30) and passed 3.4 million Spotify streams. Weverse Magazine: Skipping Stones

FREEFALL is also the last studio album before a long gap. TXT’s next studio album, TOGETHER, came one year and nine months later, according to BIGHIT.
