Track order: IVE official Japan discography
The two title tracks bookend most of the EP: REBEL HEART opens it, and ATTITUDE comes fifth, just before TKO closes it.
Our take: Treat EMPATHY as two releases in one. Start with REBEL HEART on its own, the way fans heard it in January, then play the full EP from the top.
How it did
Sony’s official profile sums up the EP: in Korea, REBEL HEART won 11 music show trophies and ATTITUDE won 4. Sony Music Japan: IVE profile
That puts EMPATHY in a long winning streak. By Sony’s count, IVE’s first three title tracks had already won 37 trophies. After the next EP, IVE SECRET (August 25, 2025), IVE’s career total reached 70, and with REVIVE+ in early 2026 it reached 82.
The year around EMPATHY
2025 was a big year in Japan too. According to Sony:
- April 2025: 2025 IVE FAN CONCERT ‘IVE SCOUT’ IN JAPAN, an arena tour of four Japanese cities, drew 100,000 fans over 11 shows.
- July 2025: the Japanese EP Be Alright reached No. 1 on Oricon’s weekly album ranking.
- September 15, 2025: IVE’s first appearance at ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL 2025.
- October 2025: IVE’s second world tour, SHOW WHAT I AM, began in Korea.
